MCED provides unlimited capital for energy projects across Missouri. The programs operated by the district provide access to capital for all property types and categories.

Private, nonprofit and public property owers may apply for energy project funding to improve multifamily, commercial, industrial, agricultural and municipal facilities.

Commercial

For Commercial Property: Our capital partners offer a C-PACE program for affordable financing options for energy-efficient upgrades, helping their operation increase efficiency, comfort and savings.

For Nonprofit: MCED provides C-PACE financing to help nonprofits fund energy-efficient improvements with affordable terms. In addition, MCED collaborates in seeking grant support to strengthen nonprofit operations, enabling organizations to lower costs, improve facilities, and dedicate more resources to their mission.

MCED partners with a range of capital providers to deliver C-PACE financing tailored to each project. Depending on project type, funding may come from specialty capital providers, local community banks, or district administration for larger or more complex transactions. This flexible structure ensures financing options that meet the unique needs of both nonprofit and commercial property owners.

Access to long term fixed rate financing of energy improvements is available for small and large projects on virtually any conceivable property type of the built environment.

Commercial property types include office buildings, industrial property, medical centers, hotels, malls, retail stores, farm, multifamily housing, warehouses and garages. Nonprofit property containing more than a five units qualifies as commercial property for borrowing purposes.

*Note: MCED provides capital sourcing for a wide range of funding needs. At the option of the borrower large commercial projects requiring funding greater than $2.0 Million may be processed through the Commercial Program and managed by the District Administrator to secure competitive offerings from qualified investors. Please contact the District Administrator to initiate project funding.
